E. Reed Laughlin, Jr.

Portfolio Manager

INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY

With more than four decades in the financial services industry, Reed Laughlin knows that the very best that he can do for his clients is to keep his investment philosophy as simple and easily understandable as possible. That’s why he manages long only global equity portfolios for ultra-high net worth families around the world. His primary objective is to preserve his clients’ capital while generating a reasonable return on investments. Transparency and liquidity are hallmarks of his investment philosophy, because too often today investors are truly unaware of what they actually own and unable to understand the complexity of the structures that are in their portfolios. Having lived and worked in London for 30 years, he has a greater appreciation of the global nature of the investment business and, subsequently, the need to widen one’s investment horizons. Reed believes relationships are built on trust, and that is why he has worked with the majority of his clients for over 20 years.
